As the daughter of a photojournalist and filmmaker, Shaz Malik comes by her profession through an inescapable hereditary gene. Just out of college, she realized her childhood dream of "running away and joining a museum" and accepted an education media specialist position at the National Gallery of Art. It was there--under the tutelage of internationally respected curators and educators--that her training in visual and written expression came together in the form of media content development. Her career in communication development takes her on journeys around the world and includes work for Fortune 500 companies, government agencies and NGOs. Her work has been honored by Emmy, CINE and Telly awards.

Seeking new endeavors to feed her curiosity, Shaz accepted an engagement in 2018 with Anthem, Inc. For more than two years, she has used her project management experience and relationship-building skills to develop and deploy program-wide governance and processes for the IT Program Management Office (PMO) of the fledgling company, IngenioRx.

Shaz is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), studied English and Business Administration at the University of Maryland, holds a Master's degree in Communication, Culture and Technology from Georgetown University, and a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Systems Development from UMBC. She has also holds SAFe Agile 5 Product Owner/Product Manager and SAFe Agilist (Leading SAFe) certifications.
